I went to Disney this past week and realized how much I like just walking around the World Showcase at Epcot.
I didn't need all the rides or to see the characters. I was perfectly happy just walking from country to country in the upper 80 degree heat.
Discovering a new artist in a genre you're fond of is just like finding out that the world showcase made me just as happy as Epcot as a whole.
You like the whole thing but when you find that one person, or band, with the right combination of tones and beats, it makes the whole experience better.
It’s like having Lin Manuel Miranda in “Hamilton,” Ben Platt in “Dear Evan Hansen,” Idina Menzel in “Wicked,” or Josh Gad in “Book of Mormon.” The soundtrack is good without them, but their voices take each song to a new level.
